Very competent and professional in their approach to cleaning two expensive rugs that hadn’t been done properly before. I am very happy with the way the rugs look and now I know they’re really clean and properly repaired.

My wife and I were so happy to find Rug Masters. We searched for months to find someone who could repair our hand-made Persian rug which had water damage. We thought we had ruined this artifact for life. Others would not touch it because they did not have the required expertise. Rug Masters did a truly amazing job restoring this beautiful piece of art and giving this rug its life back for many years to come. They are artists themselves and love what they do. So glad I found Rug Masters! After (mumble mumble) years of use including multiple cats, my rug now looks and smells like new. Jay is super helpful and provides pick up/drops off, which was incredibly helpful because I can’t lift the rug by myself. He also gave me tips on the best way to spot clean and how to position the pad to prevent bunching. Pricing is very reasonable. Because the whole process is done by hand, it can take a little while, so plan ahead if you need it done by a specific date. Rug Masters has locations in SF and the East Bay.

These guys did a fabulous job with 3 of our rugs – 2 Karastan wool carpets, and one fine Persian wool carpet. We had two of the rugs cleaned at the Berkeley location before moving to SF in November. When we needed the third rug cleaned, I searched SF and was so happy to find they had opened a new location in SF! They don’t use chemicals on the rugs, their pricing is very competitive (lower than others in SF), and the rugs look new. They are very communicative via email and completed both jobs in a timely fashion. They obviously care about their customers, and appreciate the rugs that they work with – they educated us on the symbology of the Persian rug, and recommended care instructions for all 3 rugs. 5 stars!
